Deep Sea Fishing off the Gloucester Coast for 45 Years

Capt John and Jimmy were amazing! Accommodating, friendly, and easy to talk to.

The four of us together probably caught 80–100 fish in total on the day, including 28 keeper Haddock.  First mate Tom was also great!  Super fun and relaxed environment.  I would recommend tuna tail charters to anyone!

Despite some rough seas and intermittent weather, Captain John and mate Tom were excellent guides and always ensuring that we were having a great time and netting fish. We had a blast. Thank you, Captain John!

Had a great time ???? the bait fish weren’t around in their usual numbers, but what little bait we did catch captain John and crew put us right on the striped bass and with just a few mackerel as bait we caught over 20 fish. We had an amazing experience and will definitely go back!!.

This was our first time deep sea fishing. It was the best experience I could’ve hoped for. Both Capt John and Mate Tom we’re very attentive and knowledgeable. We caught a lot of fish, and they made sure of that. I don’t have any complaints at all!! From the moment we met at the dock to our departure from the body, everything was perfect!

Thank you, Captain John and Tom from all my family friends, you put us on fish and I got to see my guys laughing and generally all around happy. I want to also thank you guys personally for allowing me and the guys aboard to enjoy the day together, something that doesn’t happen enough or at all, it seems these days. I would recommend, and I will be rebooking with capt John for my next 12-hour marathon from catching macks in the morning and bass after bass none stop action all the way to the river ride back capt John has plenty of cards up his sleeve to either put you on fish or put a smile on Your face try a great crew a well maintained boat and very clean deck thanks to first mate tom he Is the ace up the sleeve haha thanks guys

These guys are AWESOME. They were super friendly and super professional. Perfect size boat, not too big, not too small. They brought everything we needed, waited at the dock for the guy who was running behind. The fishing started off a little iffy, but captain John knew all the best spots and sure enough, he found them even on a tough day. We pulled in close to the shore, and suddenly we started hitting, and 10 minutes later we had three on at once! We even got a keeper for the cookout later that night, professionally filleted by first mate Tom, who was super cool and knew his stuff. We’re not the best anglers, but it didn’t matter with Tom and John they were so great, I really can’t say enough. We must have seen 10 or 12 fish by the end. Worth every penny GREAT time thanks you both so much!

My two sons and I spent 3 amazing days fishing with Captain John and Tom! Their knowledge and experience was fantastic. It didn’t take long for us to feel like we were out fishing with our buddies. We caught fish all day long for three straight days. When we felt like we’d had our fill of fishing in one area or for a specific fish, we’d move on to a different area, species or tactic.

The boat was clean and very comfortable. Captain John was communicative and helpful from the day we booked to the day before our scheduled pick-up. I highly recommend Captain John and Tom and am hopeful to fish with them again in the future.

I had a great time! The capt took us out to his spot and the catching began. We caught haddock and lots of cod. The capt instructed us the cod had to be released (federal reg) but they are fun to catch. The boat Lobster Tales was super clean and beautifully finished. Lots of room and smooth riding.
